Bye bye Twitter. Adieu. Farewell. I’ll be off then. I can’t take it anymore. I have to call it a day. Twitter is screwed and Microblogging as well. In 2008, I fell in love with Twitter. I fell in love with it because it was like a living meeting place, full of voices from all over the world. It was a place where news was shared instantly and unfiltered, movements and initiatives gained strength and even the quietest voices could be heard. And it was the place to be for the lastest news and rumors. For me, Twitter was more than just a platform; it was a community, a source of inspiration, a beacon of digital democracy, a place of freedom that always managed to retain its independence and individuality, even alongside numerous large social networks. Nun zeichnet sich langsam ab: Es könnte die nächste Evolutionsstufe des Internets sein. Ralph Hutter, Studiengangsleiter CAS Platforms & Ecosystems HWZ und verantwortlich für die Produktentwicklung des Institute for Digital Business, ist der neuen Entwicklung auf den Grund gegangen. Seit der Umfirmierung des Facebook Mutterkonzerns auf den Namen «Meta» hat der Begriff «Metaverse» den Weg in die Öffentlichkeit und in die Massenmedien gefunden. Die Idee dahinter ist noch undefiniert, die Technologien nicht standardisiert, Rollen und Organisation offen.
